Hainan Tea @ SS2, Petaling Jaya

Hello everybody! How are you guys doing? :-) It's time to talk about food again! Our next stop ... Hainan Tea at SS2, Petaling Jaya. This is their 3rd outlet after two other outlets in Low Yat Plaza. They just opened another branch in Puchong recently.

This is me and Boo Boo's .. errr.. forgot how many times we've been here.. :-P But we visit this place quite often during my off days and Boo Boo's lunch break.. All because of their Weekday Promo. This promo starts from 12pm - 2pm for lunch and 6pm - 9pm for dinner, Monday to Friday, and it's priced at RM2.90. Very affordable!

Apart from the Weekday Promo, Boo Boo and I will always order their special 3 Layer Hainan Toast. You can choose between the normal toast and brown toast. We always go for the normal one because we think that's nicer.

Nasi Lemak   -   rice steamed with coconut milk served with fried egg, roasted peanuts, ikan bilis (anchovies), sambal (spicy sauce) and sliced cucumbers

Brown Toast - Think of brown toasts and Hainan Tea comes to mind. Our method of toasting the hot, crusty bread brings out the aromatic and tasty caramel to golden brown perfection. Savouring it with melting butter, peanut spread or just the brown toast alone, you'll never forget the first bite.     ~   from the Hainan Tea menu   ~

Just Mee Goreng Tom Yam   -   fried noodle in Tom Yam flavor and served with fried egg and sausage

The coffee and tea served here are quite awesome too. They are not too sweet and not too diluted either. Just nice. The only thing about their drinks is, we think they are a bit expensive compared to other cafes or kopitiams. So far the best drink I've tried here is the Hazelnut Coffee.

3 Layer Toast   -   3 layer of toasted bread spread with melted butter, peanut butter and kaya @ RM3.50

We've never pay anything more than RM20 for two people when we dine here. The bill (2 Weekday Promo, 1 Hainan 3 Layer Toast and 1 cold Hainan Tea) for our latest visit was only RM14.50. Check out the Hainan Tea Facebook page for more promotions.
