Oldtown Kopitiam @ Jusco Seremban 2

OMG... Looking at my list of places and food to blog about.. I almost fainted.. I'm too too too SLOW!! Blame it on The Corner Flag :-P OK so let's take a short break from Teluk Intan and come back to Seremban. I can't remember when exactly was this but it was in February my dad and I went to Oldtown Kopitiam in Jusco Seremban 2 for tea and they were, I think they are still having this My Tea @ OldTown promotion. There are 6 different sets that you can choose from and each set is served with a cup OldTown Teh Tarik or OldTown White Coffee (Hot / Cold) .

My Tea @ OldTown (3pm - 5:30pm)

My Tea 1 - Condensed Milk Thick Toast @ RM4.50
My Tea 2 - Kaya & Butter Steam Bread @ RM4.50
My Tea 3 - Curry Puff Basket @ RM5.50
My Tea 4 - Meehoon Siam Classic @ RM5.50
My Tea 5 - Curry Potato Paratha (2 pcs) @ RM5.50
My Tea 6 - Ice Cream Toast (Double) @ RM5.90
Dad's Kaya & Butter Steam Bread. Oops.. Dad's hand. He was too hungry I think. :p
Dad ordered My Tea 2 (Kaya & Butter Steam Bread) with a cup of hot OldTown Teh Tarik. I've tried this steam bread before back in PJ and I find it so-so only. I still prefer their toasts.

Dad's hot OldTown Teh Tarik.
As for me I ordered the Ice Cream Toast set with cold OldTown White Coffee coz I felt like eating something sweet that time. It was my 2nd time having the Ice Cream Toast here and this time I was quite disappointed with it coz the ice cream sandwiched between the toast was already melting when served. I waited for quite sometime for my toast so I guess they must have forgotten about it when it was ready and maybe that caused the melting.. :-(
My Ice Cream Toast.
The ice cream is already melting. :-(
The bill total came up to RM12.05 and we got a 5 sen discount from the boss coz dad is a regular here and very friend with the boss. :-P So it was RM12.

My cold OldTown White Coffee.

Restoran Anson Town Kopitiam @ Teluk Intan, Perak

Our Teluk Intan food adventure continues at Restoran Anson Town Kopitiam which is located inside the Anson Industrial Park. My aunty's plastic bottle factory is here and she told us that the food here are very nice. So we decided to go there for dinner. This time we had my aunty, grandma and Uncle Keong with us.

Restoran Anson Town Kopitiam @ Anson Industrial Park, Teluk Intan.
There are a lot of stalls here selling different kind of food. Got Chinese, Indian and Malay, macam 1Malaysia lah. :-P So it's a real headache to decide what to eat. After walking around the shop I finally decided to order Laksa Mee from one of the stalls. The Laksa Mee was good and the spiciness was just nice for me. :-)

My Laksa Mee @ RM3.30
My Orange Juice.
Dad and brother both ordered Char Kueh Teow. I tried some of my brother's one.. mmm.. not bad.. it'll be perfect if it was a bit more spicier. Mum shared some of brother's Char Kueh Teow as her stomach wasn't feeling that well.

Char Kueh Teow @ RM3.30. Damn big plate right??!
Uncle Keong ordered this Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang from the Indian stall and it looked very tempting.. but I didn't try it so I don't know how was it. As for grandma she had Roti Telur from the same Indian stall and my aunty had Konlo Mee.

Grandma's Roti Telur @ RM1. This is how you eat roti telur in Teluk Intan. With chopsticks! LOL!
Uncle Keong's Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang @ RM4.
Aunty's Konlo Mee @ RM3.
All those were individual portion. After we finish our food, Uncle Keong went and order 2 Grilled Fish (Ikan Bakar) and 20 sticks of Chicken Satay from the Malay stall. The ikan bakar was awesome! And that's coming from a person, me, that don't really like fish. The Chicken Satay was delicious too and with a lot of meat. The Satay gravy was a bit too watery though.. :-(

Grilled Chicken Fish
Grilled Stingray. Both fishes cost RM36.
Awesome grilled stingray!
20 sticks of Chicken Satay @ RM12. So it's 60 cents per stick.
The juicy and meaty chicken satay!
This is not a bad place to come for dinner actually. Great food, cheap prices. Thumbs up! ;-)

Mastan Ghani @ Teluk Intan, Perak

Come to Teluk Intan and mention the name Mastan Ghani, everyone will tell you they serve the best Mee Rebus and Mee Rojak in town.

Mastan Ghani @ Teluk Intan, Perak
Dad told us he frequent this place when he was a schoolboy. So dad brought our family here to try out the famous Mee Rebus and Mee Rojak.

They serve ABC, Mee Rebus, Rojak, Nasi Ayam, Nasi and etc.
Dad and brother ordered their Mee Rebus while me and my mum had Mee Rojak. The gravy used for the Mee Rojak was superb! It's tasty and not too spicy. I tried a bit of the Mee Rebus and it tasted not too bad too!

Mee Rojak. As you can see it came with noodles, fried tau fu, 1 whole hard boiled egg and Indian kuih. Only RM3.
Now I understand why so many people come here to eat. It's really GOOOOOD.... and most importantly.. it's CHEAP! This is a must visit place if you come to Teluk Intan.

Mee Rebus. Similar to Mee Rojak but with different gravy. Also selling at RM3 per plate.

Pun Nam @ Teluk Intan, Perak

So the Teluk Intan food adventure begins here... :-D It was first day of Chinese New Year and my parents were deciding what to have for breakfast. Brother was still sleeping so 3 of us went out to Teluk Intan town and dad brought us to this shop called Pun Nam for Dim Sum. According to dad this shop has been around for a long long time and my late grandpa used to come here for breakfast.

Pun Nam @ Teluk Intan
When we stepped in to the shop I can see they are still using these old and heavy marble top tables and wooden chairs. This shop is classic and it was crowded!

A very classic shop.
Once we sat down the waitress already brought a tray of Dim Sum for us to choose. And here is what we ordered that day ...

One of the Dim Sum trays.
Fried Wan Tan.
Pai Guat Wong.
Yu Dan (Fish Balls).
Char Siew Mai.
Har Gao.
Siew Mai.
Sang Yuk Pau.
Look at the big chunk of meat stuffed inside the Sang Yuk Pau!
Char Siew Pau.
Char Siew Pau filling.
Lin Yung Pau (Lotus Seed Paste).
The Dim Sum here are very fresh and tasty! And most importantly.. it's damn CHEAP compared to KL or PJ! Other than Dim Sum and Paus they also make their own Shat Kek Ma, Hap Tou Sou and Egg Tarts. I personally love egg tarts but unfortunately the egg tarts were sold out that day. They must be very good... :-(

My Milo "bing" (Iced Milo) :-D
The total came up to RM28.90. I'm sure if we ate the same stuff in KL or PJ it will be much more than that. I'll definitely recommend you to come here for breakfast if you are around Teluk Intan.
